ABOUT

Amy Xin is an oil painter based in Austin, Texas. She combines a new take on still lifes with her love of typography and her marketing background.

Through her work, she reflects on both the collective pressures of late-stage capitalism and the subtler dynamics of personal relationships — all explored through the lens of her Chinese American upbringing. Amy’s paintings are instantly recognizable through their vivid colors, hand-painted text, and popular food items.

She is inspired by the works of Edward Hopper, Edward Ruscha, and basically anyone named Edward.
